  • Updating the system with Beta and custom releases
  • Accessing the logs

Occasionally we release new software updates which include the Core software, OS, API and the Web GUI portal.
When a new update is available for SIA Connect, the UI will notify you. (Only if the PC you are using to access the SIA Connect has internet)

Automatically update

Either click the “Update available” button in the top of the screen or go to System and scroll down to Updater in the bottom of the window and click “Install system update (automatically)” there.

Once you confirm the updater, it will automatically download the newest update, upload it to the SIA Connect and start the update. The update time will heavily depend on your download speed and your upload speed to the SIA Connect

Once the update has finished the update popup will close, and the screen will refresh.

Manually update

In order to manually update SIA, please follow the steps below:

  • In the SIA portal go to System
  • In the settings view locate Updater section
  • Click the “Download the latest update from website” button
  • Download the desired update from the available system updates
  • Click the “Upload update file” button
  • In the file explorer select the updater file with .siaup extension
  • Click on “Yes, proceed uploading” to continue
  • Depending on the connection speed, wait some time for the updater package to be uploaded.
  • After the upload succeeded, a change log will be presented.
  • Press the “Install updates and reboot” button
  • Please wait some time for the updater to perform the installation and finally SIA to reboot
  • Once the update has finished the update popup will close, and the screen will refresh.

GUI refresh after update

It is recommended to update your GUI cache afterwards as well to get all the visual updates as well. This can be done by “CTRL+F5”, “CTRL+SHIFT+R” or by clicking “Refresh GUI cache” under the menu in the top right (at the username).

Connectors are updated separately from the system. Check Install Connectors‍  for more information
